Hey :)) This is a day in my life as a duck

I begin my day via waking up early to listen to music and take a casual swim down the stream. It's important to me that I get some alone time, ya know?

After my swim, I rejoin the rest of the flock. We then swim over (being careful not to get attacked by the eternally upsetti-spaghetti geese!) to the local New Seasons, where people throw chunks of bread, fries, and other delecacies at us. (Yall really technically shouldn't be doing that, but you'll NEVER see a duck complaining about free food). We also eat small fish out from the stream, and let the kids play about.

Then, we all head back downstream for our afternoon nap, which normally lasts until dinnertime. Being very civilized, we don't always fight for our food... at least not a lot... anways,

After dinner, we all get together and say a prayer to the duck God, say goodnight to our families, and huddle together as a flock. Ah, what a nice life it is to be a duck :)

good morning sunshineeee 🌞

i wake up just a few minutes before the sunrise, do my eyeliner (bc i'm just iconic like that), and then do my daily duty of waking everybody else up!!

afterwards, i chill and eat a snack, whilst also combing my feathers and watching some tv thru the human's window. today they're watching house hunters agaiiiiinnnnn its become so boring :/

i then usually take a lil swim in the human's pool, or just sit outside of it and dip my claws in :)

nice and... COLD

WHY IS THE HUMANS POOL SO COLD?!?

*ahem*

i now take my daily fly, gotta keep myself in shape and healthy! while i'm out, i grab some lunch -- seeds left out to feed the chickens in a nearby farm.

Then, I get ready for bed. i gotta wake up so early, and yk, a girls gotta get her beuty sleep ;)

while i gte ready to sleep i watch some more tv thru the window, and drift off at abour sunset.

What is goooooooooood

I wake up each day before the sun, scavenging for some yummy food scraps (i swear, it sounds worse than it is!!). My current go-to is the alley behind this one little bakery, where they just chuck out box upon box of doughnuts. Sad? Sure, but more for me and my wife!!

I bring some back for us and we eat breakfast together, before going to our jobs. My wife works as feather stylist, meanwhile I find and sell shiny things at my shiny thing shoppe™

At dinnertime or so, I meet up w/ my friends outside of the McDonalds, where we scavenge their alleyway and eat lunch together. it's nice to have such an awesome group of friends :)

By time it's dark out, my wife and I are back in our nest, chatting about our days and life in general whilst listening to the radio playing in the station below the building our nest is on.

tomorrow will be the same :D
